Part 2 advances your understanding of how chronic pain and predictive brain processes shape human perception, experience, and behavior through the lens of postural expression. Building on Part 1’s foundations, this module explores how people move differently when they’re in pain and introduces the five principles of posture and motion as a practical framework for clinician-guided self-care. You’ll learn how the Interoceptive Posture Picture (IPP) provides a standardized method to benchmark and track interoceptive awareness and accuracy, quantifying the relationship between predicted sensations and actual postural control to bridge the gap between perception and reality.

Through progressive attentional focus techniques, you’ll guide patients from sensing single-dimension sagittal stabilization to two-dimensional coronal control, and finally to dynamic three-dimensional whole body movement. This systematic progression—from PostureZone awareness to symmetry of control—uses the objective verticality of a wall to develop accurate interoceptive awareness of the 4 Zones of Postural Mass (ZPM). You’ll learn to document and track both bipedal and unipedal static assessments, helping patients discover missing links in their neuromotor chain while reducing non-organic predictions of pain through improved movement coupling.

The module culminates with energy optimization and stress management strategies that recognize breathing as the function of structure. You’ll master the distinctive “must vs try” attentional focus cueing process to create more accurate core control, integrating granular, tightly coupled inner core motion and breathing through StrongPosture® progressions from 1D pelvic tilts to 2D balance control and 3D movement patterns. This biobehavioral strategy empowers you to help patients move beyond pain management toward healthier habits that optimize both biomechanics and mindset, better managing allostatic load and stress in modern life.
