Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards

The Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) is a non-profit organization that oversees the regulation of the massage therapy profession. Established in 2005, FSMTB operates as a 501(c)(3) organization, using its revenue to enhance its programs, maintain the quality of the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx), and support its member boards in protecting the public. FSMTB is governed by a board of directors, with seven voting directors and two non-voting members, all of whom are elected by the delegate assembly at the FSMTB Annual Meeting. The board’s mission is to support its member boards in ensuring the safe and competent practice of massage therapy.

American Massage Therapy Association

The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) is a nonprofit organization serving the massage therapy community. AMTA provides its members with services tailored to the unique needs of massage therapists and students.
