Modern Chiropractic Integration:

Ethical, Clinical and Practical Insights

The modern chiropractic practice must be patient-centric, striving to relieve pain and improve health from a holistic perspective.  Modern Chiropractic Integration: Ethical, Clinical and Practical Insights is a 20-hour course looking at the demands and expectations of today’s world.

The curriculum delves into the ethical foundations for today's patient-centered care models. As clinicians, DCs observe and act upon the links between structure and function, along with the interactions of the biomechanical and biochemical/nutritional, as well as behaviors and attitude.  Course attendees learn to enhance competence through applying current anatomical and physiological concepts to analysis and then utilizing appropriate diagnostic technology in clinical decision-making for care.

Special emphasis is placed on therapeutic approaches addressing biomechanics, balance and posture, as well as implementing protocols to track change over time with in-office treatment, self-care and lifestyle advice.

For complex and non-responsive cases, the course examines the importance of interdisciplinary collaborations, particularly with respect to surgical considerations and the biopsychosocial factors affecting patient recovery.  Throughout, practitioners will strengthen their ability to effectively communicate the scientific rationale and clinical benefits of DC rendered interventions across multiple audiences - from patients seeking informed healthcare decisions to allied healthcare professionals in local practice or collaborative settings.

Seminar Instructors:

  • Timothy Mirtz DC, PhD
    • Biomechanical Principles for Optimized Patient Care - Apply evidence-based biomechanical principles to enhance assessment and treatment protocols.

This 4 CE course contains biomechanics, and general clinical practice hours. Segment G of Modern Chiropractic Integration is included.
