Arizona Chiropractic Continuing Education Requirements

Arizona requires 12 hours of CE every year.

Special Requirements: 2 of the required 12 hours must include:

  • 2 hours of hours of Record Keeping are also required on even-numbered years.
  • Hours must be completed by Dec. 31.

Arizona State Board of Chiropractic Examiners

The State of Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners located in Phoenix, AZ plays a vital role in safeguarding public health, safety, and welfare by overseeing the licensing and regulation of chiropractic practice in the state. The board is responsible for investigating complaints, enforcing the laws and regulations governing chiropractic practice, updating and developing regulations, defining appropriate conduct for professionals, and continuously reviewing the credentials required for safe and ethical practice. Additionally, the board reviews and approves continuing education programs for license renewal credit and has the authority to discipline doctors of chiropractic who violate the public trust or break the law. The five-member board, appointed by the governor, comprises three chiropractic doctors and two public members, with support from dedicated administrative, licensing, and investigative staff. Monthly meetings are open to the public, and an assistant attorney general provides legal counsel to the board and staff members. Since 1921, the board has played a critical role in promoting chiropractic standards of practice and protecting public health in Arizona.

The Arizona Association of Chiropractic (AAC), a non-profit organization, is committed to promoting chiropractic as a valuable healing practice. Its board and committee members, all licensed chiropractors, work voluntarily to advance chiropractic initiatives throughout Arizona. The organization believes that chiropractic treatment can improve neurological function and physiological health through non-invasive procedures such as adjustment and manipulation of the body’s articulations and structures.
