4 HRS | Management of Soft Tissue Conditions – Part 1 is a 4-hour evidence-based course that emphasizes the diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue conditions commonly seen in chiropractic and manual therapy practice from the standpoint of using best practices.
The four most common pain generators of spine related disorders seen in everyday chiropractic practice are disc, nerve, muscle and joint. All chiropractors are experts at managing the joint as a pain generator, but knowledge and skills associated with the diagnosis and treatment of the other three soft tissue dysfunctions are less common.
This course highlights the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of these dysfunctions and injuries of the soft tissues. This program will discuss the differential diagnosis and treatment of disc derangement, and myofascial trigger points which are most often amenable to treatment that can be provided by or directed by a primary spine care practitioner, i.e. Doctor of Chiropractic, Doctor of Physical Therapy or medical physician.
