Posture and Balance Assessment, Rehab, & Motor Control Exercise [Part 2]

$69.00

This course presents engaging lecture videos, animations and detailed focused motion exercise videos using balls, bands, foam pads and other low-tech tools to teach clinicians to progress patients from acute care (passive therapy + posture awareness) through rehab care (less passive therapy + increasing active rehab care exercises to train posture control) and onto wellness (daily posture exercises combined with passive therapy as appropriate to maximize the bio-mechanic benefits of other exercise and ADLs).

Part 2 of the StrongPosture® course empowers professionals to enhance their skills in retraining postural balance, alignment, and motion, while also enabling them to easily individualize exercises for clients in today's technology-driven society.

By systematically connecting perception and reality through the StrongPosture® concepts and PostureZone® framework, professionals will deepen their ability to assess, communicate, and functionally strengthen posture through this online chiropractic CE course. The StrongPosture® protocol incorporates trademarked MUST vs TRY cueing, which addresses subtle kinetic chain motion, focusing effort and training on weak and neglected mechanical links.

The observational description of Janda's Upper and Lower Crossed Syndromes is reframed as cueable masses - the 4 PostureZones® - offering a truly actionable way to mechanically and neurologically retrain posture towards symmetry.

By coupling postural awareness of concepts and images with quality care, this approach creates a powerful strategy to increase the value of posture care, enabling clients to move well and achieve a pain-free lifestyle.

The Posture & Balance course integrates clinical strategies for passive therapies with active strategies for functionally strengthening posture. Systematic protocols for building personal awareness are integrated with exercises to strengthen standing Balance, static Alignment and dynamic Motion. Three eponymous tracks of tightly defined exercises systematically progress the person to more accurately connect their body perception and motion to objective reality. Patient-friendly concepts of postural bio-mechanics use 5 common-sense principles, and are presented along with each exercise for congruent patient education towards understanding and adopting intelligent postural habits.

The Goal: Helping people move well, avoid micro- and macro-trauma injury, optimize performance and promote healthy choices to optimize bio-mechanic wellness.

Functionally strengthening posture means observing and then correcting sensorimotor errors between perceived posture and motion and external reality. Systematically retraining granular motion and whole body compensatory and adaptive patterns towards accuracy is an important yet often overlooked factor in clinical NMS practices.

Attendees learn to individualize StrongPosture® exercises for patient symptoms, syndromes and ability to train towards normalizing bio-mechanics despite adverse daily postural habits. From building awareness with a digital photo to empowering people to find their strongest, core-engaged posture and literally stand taller, attendees will learn the keys to building a wellness identity as specializing in posture.

Posture is a consumer concern which will inevitably grow as boomers and millennials age and see their posture degenerate and hunch over. People get excited when they become more posture aware with StrongPosture® exercises, and experience objective functional improvement in how they move during normal daily activities. Which is why from pain relief and evidence based back specialist to sports performance and wellness, being a posture specialist is the 21st century market identity to help people move, feel and be well.
