Questions About Your CE Requirements?

The European Council on Chiropractic Education (ECCE) is an international organization that accredits chiropractic education programs in Europe, aiming to establish excellence standards for training safe and competent practitioners. It provides standards for program self-evaluation and external review, primarily in Europe but not exclusively. Accreditation lasts up to eight years after a program demonstrates substantial compliance and graduates its first cohort. The ECCE is a founding member of the Councils on Chiropractic Education International (CCEI) and the only European member adhering to CCEI standards. In October 2023, it gained full membership in the European Association for Quality Assurance of Higher Education (ENQA) for five years.
European Union Chiropractic Associations
European Chiropractors’ Union (ECU)
The European Chiropractors’ Union (ECU) is a professional organization representing national chiropractic associations from 22 European countries. Its primary objective is to advance evidence-based, people-centered, and collaborative chiropractic care in Europe. The ECU promotes high standards of education and practice, supports research, and advocates for both patients’ rights to access safe chiropractic healthcare and qualified chiropractors’ rights to provide it. Membership in the ECU requires support for these objectives and adherence to the organization’s bylaws.
Chiropractors under the ECU umbrella are highly trained professionals specializing in the assessment, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal disorders. Their education, accredited by recognized bodies such as the European Council on Chiropractic Education (ECCE), ensures they meet rigorous standards in manual care methods, including spinal manipulation, as well as in prescribing active care approaches and providing health promotion advice. The ECU works towards regulating the chiropractic profession across all member nations, with some countries already integrating it into mainstream healthcare. The organization is governed by a Board and a General Council, with day-to-day operations managed by a secretariat, collectively steering the ECU’s strategic direction and decision-making processes.
