This is going to improve patients’ overall well being. It’s going to move them away from symptoms, and towards health … they will increase how functional they are in their lives. It’s an amazing program.

Strong Posture training is amazing. It’s so well designed. I’ve learned a tremendous amount about what to do with my patients.

Dr. Barbara James, DC

Kelowna, British Columbia

It’s gratifying to see changes that are demonstrable by pre and post scans. Patients get really excited, and it’s something they can relate to on a day-to-day basis of, Yes, I am moving better, I’m feeling better, I can see my posture is better.

Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors

The Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors (NSCC), based in Halifax, NS, serves as the self-regulating body overseeing the chiropractic profession in the province. Entrusted with the responsibility and privilege of professional self-regulation granted by provincial law, the NSCC administers this authority in the interest of public well-being. According to the Chiropractic Act, all chiropractors practicing in Nova Scotia must be members of the NSCC, with membership in the Council of NSCC being mandatory. The NSCC operates through two administrative arms: the Board, which addresses public protection, regulatory matters, and legislation, and the Council, focused on public awareness, education, and the promotion of chiropractic in Nova Scotia. The Board, composed of eight elected chiropractors and two public members appointed by the Nova Scotia Government, governs, controls, and administers the regulatory and administrative affairs of the College, providing direction for the profession in matters of public interest as outlined in the Chiropractic Act.

Council of the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors

The Council of the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors (CNSCC) and chiropractors play a crucial role in the healthcare team, bringing over 60 years of recognized and regulated expertise in neuromusculoskeletal health. As frontline healthcare professionals, Nova Scotia chiropractors contribute significantly to addressing the growing musculoskeletal (MSK) epidemic, with at least 4.7 million Canadians annually relying on their care to prevent and manage the burden of MSK pain and diseases. The long-term benefits of chiropractic care are substantial, enhancing patients’ quality of life, facilitating quicker return to work, and reducing public healthcare costs. Chiropractic treatments, rooted in evidence, are non-invasive, drug-free manual therapies often complemented by therapeutic exercise and lifestyle modifications. To optimize health and quality of life, integration of a chiropractor into every Canadian’s healthcare team is advocated. In Nova Scotia, we actively advocate for optimal health and wellness, striving to ensure diverse healthcare choices and efficient access to essential services for our communities.
