Indiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners

The Indiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners, operating under the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (PLA), serves as the regulatory authority for chiropractic practice in the state. It is responsible for issuing, renewing, suspending, and revoking chiropractic licenses, conducting investigations and hearings related to professional conduct, establishing rules and ethical standards, and maintaining a registry of licensed practitioners. The board is also tasked with setting educational and practice standards to ensure public safety and uphold the integrity of the profession. Composed of five members appointed by the governor—four experienced licensed chiropractors and one public representative unaffiliated with the profession—the board is structured to include no more than three members from the same political party. Member terms and responsibilities are defined by Indiana Code § 25-10-1-1.5.
