Alabama requires 18 hours of CE every year.

Special Requirements: 2 of the required 18 hours must include:

  • 2 hours of Alabama Laws and Board Rules
  • Hours must be completed by Sept. 30.

The Alabama State Board of Chiropractic Examiners is responsible for determining the continuing education requirements that must be fulfilled by chiropractic practitioners within the state to ensure ongoing professional development and competence. The AL Board serves as the authoritative agency responsible for licensing and regulating chiropractic practice within the state of Alabama. With exclusive power and authority, the Board is empowered to issue, revoke and reinstate all licenses to practice chiropractic in Alabama.

As a fundamental aspect of our mandate, our mission centers on safeguarding the health, safety, and welfare of the people of Alabama. In fulfillment of this objective, we diligently oversee the regulation and licensure of doctors of chiropractic within the state. The board offices are located in Clanton, AL.
